My goal was to craft an ale of extreme balance with a delicate complexity that allows for contemplation while also providing quaffable refreshment. starting with a base of German wheat & pale malts this crisp slightly hazy foundation was then accented with a blend of Sterling & Citra hops providing a intricate blend of herbal grass & tangerine citrus flavors and aroma. to pull this all together and to complete the ’cleansing’ aspect of my vision i gently finished the ale off with a touch of white sage, lending a mild earthy spice character to the blend. of course let’s not forget our house saison yeast that brought all the elements together leaving a dry yet intricate finish.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy yellow. Thin head. Nose - orange or apricot with some resin which possibly engulfs the sage. And that’s definitely not a bad thing. Taste - more apricot and light herb. Overripe fruit and light spice. Palate - medium bodied and tangy. Tangy finish. Overall - good.

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden. Aroma is is pale malts with yeast, some clover and little grassy hops. Body is medium, softly carbonated, slightly sweet and hardly bitter. Smooth though, and the palate is nicely dry but yeasty. Quite nice.

It has a strong aroma of orange peel plus lemon and coriander. The hops dominate over the top of more traditional farmhouse flavours and there’s a very warm alcohol aftertaste that lingers in the back of the throat.

355ml can, drunk in the street on a hot Summer evening at The Listening Experience @ Itadaki Zen, Shrewsbury. Character seems to mirror my previous experience of this beer, except get a little more white wine influence - had to double check it wasn't a BA version! Really nice bright Saison yeast. Excellent, flavoursome crisp saison. 355ml bottle from Beer Gonzo. Pours a hazy golden yellow, large white head. Aroma is sweet yeast. Taste presents a sweet saison-like fruitiness with a pronounced hop bitterness, some floral notes.

Many thanks to travlr for this beer! Intense fresh and slightly grainy-sourish nose. The beer starts smooth and slightly sweetish. The herbal sage is there, hints of citrus and a very smooth (but for me slightly too sweetish) body. Moderate sweetish grainy aftertaste, very soft and subtle, but neither a real farmhouse ale nor a typical witbier. For both the body is too sweetish and I miss distinctive flavours. But nevertheless a nice and easy to drink brew!
