Black with light brown head - Wet wood and malt in the aroma - wet raw wood flavour with some malt and fruity tones in the back - The wet raw wood that lasts in the finish - Again a beer that has way to much wet wood that covery every other flavour - This was just ok

Draught at the brewpub, Hamar, on April 22, 2017.Note on the board to have been aged in Whiskey Barrel.Jet black color, light brown head. Acidic, Brett, spicy, Salubrin, acetic taste. Brett, acidic aftertaste. Full mouthfeel, a tad fizzy though. Dry, grainy finish, medium bitterness. Brett, Salubrin, acetic scent.I wonder if they intended the barrel ageing to go this way, and if it tasted like this when they decided to sell the beer in the bar? Not enjoyable. Difficult to finish 20 cl over the two of us, would’ve normally left the glass after a few sips, but was killing time with this last pour, so actually did drink it all.

Svart med lavt beige skum. Lukter mørke bær, solbær vingummi, vanilje og så kjennes eikepreget fra lagringen godt. Fyldig. Noe salt lakris, mørke bær, mørk sjokolade, hint av whisky og vanilje. Alkoholen varmer godt. Middels lang.

200ml, 8.5 % abv, draught at Basarene. Jet black body, patchy beige head. Dotted spots on the glass. Inviting dark malty aromas with emphasis on liquorice and dark chocolate. Rich taste profile of liquorice, nuts, molasses and with a backdrop of dark berry fruits. Lingering, warming finish. Dangerously easy to drink. Enjoying (In friendly company with Erik, Gunnbjørg, Dag Erik, Leif and Johnny, Hamar 04.03.2017).
