A group of hop-heads and publicans challenged our Beer Camp (#19) brewers to push the extremes of whole-cone hop brewing. The result is this: a 100 IBU, whole-cone hurricane of flavor. Simply put- Hoptimum: the biggest whole-cone IPA we have ever produced. Aggressively hopped, dry-hopped and torpedoed with our exclusive new hop varieties for ultra-intense flavors and aromas.
Hops, hops and more hops are the stars of this big, whole-cone Imperial IPA. Resinous ‘new-school’ and exclusive hop varieties carry the bold and aromatic nose. The flavor follows the aroma with layers of aggressive hoppiness, featuring notes of grapefruit rind, rose, lilac, cedar and tropical fruit – all culminating in a dry and lasting finish.

Ordentlich hopfig, soviel ist sicher. Sorgt hinten für eine angenehm fruchtige Wärme. Dabei eher dunkle Noten. Passt.

2020 Bottle at home from Beer Hop, bottled in July 2020, 29th January 2021. Pours a dark orange, pretty clear. Aroma is pithy, marmalade, candied oranges. Taste is smooth, bitter pith, caramel, oranges in candy, it’s so easy to drink, no sign of the ABV. Amazing stuff, shame it was bottled 6 months ago, I’m sure it’s better fresh

Bottle, Danke Günther! Red amber, offwhite lace. Light sticky berry resin hop nose. Medium body, melanoidin/caramel sticky resin, grass and pine needles, sticking to the palate, burnt cramal under perfumed hops retronasal. Might be a tad too old, but too sweet and sticky in the long run.
