Tap @ Jan Primus, medium sample. Clear orange to amber color, medium head. Aroma of some caramel and toffee, grapefruit, citrus. Medium bitter in taste, slight spicy. Not completely clean and not really big hoppiness, but much better balanced than I can recall from earlier samples. Easy drinker, not bad, but a bit boring.

Tap at Lemmys, Leiden. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is big yeast with some hoppy notes. The flavour is medium bitter with an alcoholic liqourice bitter palate with some hoppiness in the background. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The biggest influence in this beer is the yeast and the alcohol, not the hops. More a Belgian strong ale than an IPA.

Clear amber, diminishing white head. Fruity aroma, caramel, tropical fruit, hops. Quite sweet, bitter flavour, tropical fruits, grapefruit, passion fruit. Lingering dry bitter finish. (draught @ Café De Kleine Wereld, Breda)

330ml bottle. Clear amber colour with huge, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly grassy and fruity hop aroma has flat and minimally artificial appearing notes of apricot, mirabelle, peach. Taste is moderately sweet and minimally tart fruity, apricot, mirabelle, peach again, cautious yeasty overtones, prickling carbonation, sticky palate. Too sweet, not a pinch of hop bitterness. Somewhere between an Abbey Triple and Laffy Taffy.

Definitely not an Imperial / Double IPA, more like a Belgian Ale. Bottle from Berts Bierhuis. Hazy dark golden colour, huge off-white head, that keeps on foaming long after the bottle has been opened. Nose is caramel malts, yeast, fruits. Flavour is sweet malted, yeast, sugary, fruity. Finish is sweet. High carbonation.
