Draft at De Paas, Den Haag. Pours a hazy dark orange with a nice white head. Aroma of malts, grapefruit, caramel, overripe fruits, hops. Flavour is fruity and caramel sweetness, hops. Long dry bitter finish. Decent DIPA, I’m surprised at the negative reviews here.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy orange coloured brew with an fine bitter taste, to note this is the least bitter DIPA that I’ve drunk.

Bottle Orange blonde. Soft oily grassy hops and a hint of mango in the aroma. Fairly weel hopped Grassy flavor with canned peach and pineapple. Too shy to be called a DIPA.

On tap at Carnivale Brettanomyces ’16. At Arendsnest. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of wort, malt, Bambix, quite sweet, honey. Flavour is a lot better, malty, caramel, decent hoppiness but nowhere near sufficient, oatmeal porridge, honey, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. DIPA denominator is a joke.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2015) Amber colour with dense, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, orange peel and a touch of grapefruit. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, citrus, orange peel, grapefruit and a generous resiny/citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh hop character, with a good malt profile to back it up. Nice one.

Double IPA with a dark, copper color. Quite malty, with an earthy taste of bitter and aroma hops, combined with some sweetish malt. Good beer.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Tiel. Hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet citrus hops. Taste is sweet without the strong bitterness of most (imperial) IPA’s. A tasty beer nonetheless.
