On June 20, 2015. At Off the Rail Brewing, in Vancouver, British Columbia.Listed at 4.7% ABV.Clear brown color, off-white to teal head. Malty, some berries, ripe banana scent. Malty, fruity, grainy taste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness. Grainy aftertaste.

On tap at Off the Rail, pours a cloudy opaque dark orangey red with a small beige head. Aroma is pleasant and restrained, biscuity malt and a pronounced English character. Flavour is very malty, with toffee, toasted English malt and even a lingering sweetness. Clean and drinkable, but not overly interesting. Wouldn't say they managed to craft an authentic mild, but it's pretty decent.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy dark amber color with small beige compact head. The aroma is a bit buttery and fruity, light fudge. The mouthfeel is rather dry, but it has a good body; it has some caramel flavor and a lot of yeast character, both earthy and spicy; the final is a bit nutty and muddy. The bitterness is quite high.
With all that yeast, without the chocolate, and with the bitterness, it’s more a Bitter than a Mild. Not bad anyway. And quite English.
