Part of a flight on June 29, 2015. At the brewpub in Portland.Listed as "Project Ale 8.3% (former Alter Ego)", not sure if an alias or a new beer.Clear deep amber color, off-white head. Hoppy, bitter, alcohol taste. Bitter, alcohol aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, high bitterness. Malty, herbal scent.

Draft - Caramel and earthy hops. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet Mandarin and some resin with a big malt build and balanced bitterness. Resin is a bit much for me, but still decent.

[2/24/15] Draught at Burnside Brewing in Portland. Clear reddish amber. Aroma of sweet caramelly malt, slightly candy-ish, and some piney/citric hops. Flavor has sweet chewy malt, citric and piney hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Tap at Burnside Brewing, Portland. Colour is deep orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, grape, pine, hops and malts. Could have more malt body but actually this is very good.

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark orangey brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, wood, and some dry bready malt. Flavour is very dry and woody, with piney earthy hops, dry wood, and a dry earthy bready malt backing. Immensely flavourful, well-balanced and drinkable. Wonderful stuff.
