How could I have missed this in the past? Is it new? From a bottle, looks better than expected. Some sediment on bottom of bottle. Smell is somewhat musty. Looks like cloudy lemonade. Some artificial flavor int he background. Decent fine sharp fizz. Does not show much alky. Fer sure it is some sort of lemony thing happening. Somewhat dull finish. OK, so I smell a little more lemon in there now. Not bad but not nearly as good as that curious traveler I just had a few minutes ago.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy pale golden with small white head that dissapates quickly. Nice thin small bubble lacing, medium carbonation, thin body, and light lemon aroma. Taste is grainy wheat and lemon. OK for what it is.

Golden coloured body with a thinnish slightly off-white head. Aroma of pure lemons, unfinished sugars and a bit of yeast. Light-bodied; Airy, very acidic flavour with lemons obviously on the forefront, with some malt, wheat, coriander seed and funk on the end. Aftertaste is light and very very sweet - only some citric flavours cut the sweetness. Overall, not such a great beer - as expected, but if you wanted a sweet, slightly sour beer for the summertime, available at your local corner store around every city in this fine country and you have yourself an option. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle given to me after a hockey game in Arlington, Virginia on 18-July-2012.

bottle - Pours very pale, cloudy yellow with a small, white, fizzy head. It has a mild lemon aroma and a sweet, lemony flavor. It’s thin, bland, and kind of refreshing, but water is refreshing and it’s a lot cheaper.

First off, by way of disclosure, I was sent a six-pack by the Shock Top brand manager for review (see it on You Tube as a "One-Take Beer Review"). Second off, I kind of surprised myself by liking it. But take that with a grain of salt of you want. Pour a very fizzy head over a pale, hazy beer body. Lemon smell is not as pronounced as I thought, in fact there’s more of the wit spiciness in the nose than I would have expected. No Lemon Pledge flavor, just a lemony backbone. I wish they would stop dancing around label requirements for the vague ingredient "Natural Lemonade Flavor," but I’m going to say this stands out pretty well against all the other lemonade-diluted Summer Shandys.

Bottle @ home. Cloudy, banana yellow appearance with a disappearing white head. Bready, lemonade, a bit spicy, wheat malty aroma. Somewhat refreshing, Radler-like, lemonade, sweet wheat, a little spicy flavor. I guess if it was a really hot day I could see myself chugging a couple of these but not otherwise. Not that worthwhile overall.

Sample @ Pick’s Liquors. Lightly cloudy gold with minimal head. Aroma of wheat and lemon pine-sol. Taste is light sweet. They get extra points here just because the lemonade flavor seemed natural, unlike some of the other "shandy" beers I’ve had. Light bodied with a sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not that bad. Not exactly my style but I’ll keep it in mind if I’m ever feeling a shandy. Would make a great lawnmower beer...if I had a lawn to mow

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a thin off-white fizzy head. Poor head retention. Aroma of candied lemon and floral notes. The taste is wheat, spice, lemon candy. Thin bodied. Below even what I was expecting, but not terrible.
