Huge tight tan head stayed on a chocolate coloured still body. Dark chocolate, malt, demerara & roasted aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the tongue with a dry clean back. Malt, berry, jam, sugar & yeast tastes.

Part of their Variety Pack from this Christmas with a glass. Pours a brown colour, clean with some copper-golden highlights. Beige head, fairly creamy, average retention with little lacing. Aromas of bananas and some hints of dark fruits. The taste is a blend of bananas and dark fruits as well. Alcohol is well-hidden, but still feel it. A caramel malt base. Not bad, but a little too rich overall without being refined.

Bottle at home from Waitrose. A chestnut brown light hazed pour with a fading beige head. Aroma is sweet toffee apple, caramel, burnt sugar, candy floss, nutty. Flavour is composed of brandy snap sugars, toffee, nutty malts, apple, raisin, light chalk. Palate is medium sweet, highish frothy carbonation, airy, sticky sugars. Brown sugars. cakey malts.

Aroma: sweet, yeasty with lots of banana. Roasted malt in the taste. Bitter finish. Very full bodied, but not too sweet. Phenolic and a dry mouthfeel.
