Tripel Kanunnik is een 4-granenbier gebrouwen naar origineel Wilderens kanunnik-recept. Een zachte en kruidige tripel met hergisting op fles en een milde afdronk door het gebruik van fijne & edele hopsoorten. In dit bier werd naast gerst, tarwe en haver uitzonderlijk ook rogge toegevoegd, wat deze Tripel een typisch karakter geeft.

Pours cloudy light amber. Moderate off-white head. Aroma: Belgian yeast, apricot jam, cracker malts. Medium body. Taste: solid maltiness, spicy yeast, sweet fruit, a sourish fruity note. Low bitterness. Fruity ending. Not impressive. Well-smelling though.

Geprobeerd met Inoven op de VSK. Het is een goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige zoete geur. De smaak is fruitig en zoet met hints van banaan.

330ml bottle outside De Fiets, Zontelande in the blazing sun, mid-way through a bike along the Zeeland coast. Pours misty gold, white head. Aroma presents reassuring sweet yeasty tripel notes. Taste is smooth, sweet, yeasty, not unlike karmeliet with distant spice. Simplistic in its tripel intentions but effective nonetheless. Hits the spot.

A golden beer, a head is big and blond. Aroma has genereic fruitness, some sweetness and spicyness. Taste has fruitness and nice spicyness of coriander. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Simple but nice, I like this beer.

Clear, deeper golden colored, medium white-off white frothy head. Aroma is of malt, some brewing sugar, spices and spicy yeast, some spicy and herbal hops, fruity. Taste is medium sweet malt, fruity, spicy yeasty, some herbal and spicy hops, bit candy sugar, bit of apple, medium spicy bitterness, dryish finish, light alcohol. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. (bottle, Huis Maria, Hulste)

Rerate. Clear dark golden with a big, foamy, white head. Aroma of ripe apricot, banana, apple, soy milk, soap, honey, flowers, vanilla. Taste has sweet estery banana & apricot, zesty orange freshness underneath, quite thick honey maltiness, bit soapy, bit spicy. Floral hoppy finish, spices again but not disturbing, lingering ripe fruit, some warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Better than I remember, does stand out somewhat. Original rating: 18/10/2017. 7/4/7/3/13=3.4. At Café Botteltje, Ostend.
