Tripel Kanunnik is een 4-granenbier gebrouwen naar origineel Wilderens kanunnik-recept. Een zachte en kruidige tripel met hergisting op fles en een milde afdronk door het gebruik van fijne & edele hopsoorten. In dit bier werd naast gerst, tarwe en haver uitzonderlijk ook rogge toegevoegd, wat deze Tripel een typisch karakter geeft.

Bottle at Hoppzak. Pours clear dark golden with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, fruits and light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB Feb 2018, large sample. Hazy golden color, medium frothy white head. Aroma is quite fruity, slight grain, citrus, orange marmelade, bit mandarin, spicy. Medium sweet in taste, slight sour fruity note, grainy. Not bad actually.

Hazy medium to deep golden colour, lot of bubbles, good rocky and a stable white head, recedes only slowly, good lacing. Aroma moderate malty, fruity with banana, tangerine, apricot, grain, yeast, dough, hint of spices, citrus. Taste moderate fruity sweetness and mild light bitter, fruity and spicy notes, hint of alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, peppery on the tongue; mild hoppy bitterness and light fruity sweetness in the finish, spicy and herbal notes. At first like another middle of the road tripel but develops after a while to a very nice mild and pleasant tripel.

Dunkelgoldenes Bier mit schöner sehr großen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig, belgische Hefe, Gewürze. Geschmack sehr würzig fruchtig, belgische Hefe, leicht metallisch werdend.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of fruit, with malty and estery touches. Sweetish flavour of malt and fruit, with bitter notes of hops. Hints of flowers. Warming alcohol presence. Estery and malty aftertaste. Nice.

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Clear, golden colour with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with fruits, spices, some residual sugars, Spicy and herbal notes. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes sweet and spicy with sugar and fruits. A sweeter example - decent.
