Tripel Kanunnik is een 4-granenbier gebrouwen naar origineel Wilderens kanunnik-recept. Een zachte en kruidige tripel met hergisting op fles en een milde afdronk door het gebruik van fijne & edele hopsoorten. In dit bier werd naast gerst, tarwe en haver uitzonderlijk ook rogge toegevoegd, wat deze Tripel een typisch karakter geeft.

Bottle@Papsoes - golden pour thin white head. Aroma and taste is medium sweet malty and yeasty, light caramel, some herbal and floral notes as well. Nice.

Fourgrains tripel from a brewery which also makes ’jenever’ and, since this week, whisky. Rocky, snow white, stable head, deep golden blonde colour, clear. Rye and wheat clearly noticeable, banana, soap, apple peel, young cheese, some DMS (cooked vegetables). Light fruity taste of apple with a hint of banana, smooth, malt sweetish, retronasally ruined by the DMS, mild herbal hoppiness in the finish but not really bitter. Lacks personality and they should boil the mash longer, perhaps that will eliminate the disturbing DMS effect.

Bottle @ DØE Meeting, light gusher. Pours golden with a fading wihite head. Aroma of malt, belgium yeast, little fruity hops, apples, little honey. Flavor is rather sweet with malt, yeast, honey, candy sugar, fruit, little coriands. Medium body, lively carbonation. 210514

In Leuven on tap. Golden dark clear filtered, tick and tall white foam. Nose: grainy notes (Karmeliet?), flowers, citrus. Mouth: cereals, lemon, jasmine and yeast. Refreshing feel! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Looks like they used all ingredients they could get. The beer is very grainy, yeasty, spicey and quite sweet. Also some notes of rye and candi.
