Effervescent and full-bodied, a pleasantly light caramel note is perceptible in the flavor and imparts a velvety mouthfeel. The color can be described as chestnut.

The Aromas are fresh malt, spice, perfumy yeast. Flavors are on the sweet side with good carbonation and a hint of tart to balance. Low bitter great body and finish. Really nice beer.

bottle from Kommer Getränkekulinarium Balingen. Cloudy brown with a tall beige head. Wheaty and yeasty with nice roasetd malts, shy hints of dried fruit, pears and dates.

Pours a hazy and translucent dark amber/light brown, with a classic huge white and dense weizen head; good retention and nice lacing. Soft aroma shows a well balanced mix of caramel, nutty and slightly toasted malts, with background estery notes of banana and clove. Very well refined though not very intense. Taste is quite brighter, same notes as per aroma. Obviously sweet as per style, maybe a little less than usual, with a balanced finish that leaves a spicy/clove reminiscence. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation, maybe a little less carbonated than average for style, resulting in a very nice smooth/soft feel. It's not the kind of beer that may make a huge impression on a beer drinker that is used to explore a wide variety of beers, but it's seriously smooth, enjoyable and well balanced. An excellent dunkelweizen.

A slight toasty maltiness in the aroma. Sweetish, coffee bitter flavor with a hint of yoghurt and just a bit of sourness. Fairly well made dunkel weizen. Tasted in june 2008 in Austria: Orange brown color, cloudy. Banana, lemon and a hint of toffee in both aroma and flavor. Citrus and just a dash of clove in the aftertaste. Sharp and refreshing.

Tap at Unorthodox. Surprised I did not rate this yet. Full body with rhthe traditional banana+clove combo enriched by subtle chocolatey caramelly maltiness. Easy drinking despite the body, helped by rather high carbonation. Classic, quite good.
