Slottskällan Hvit är en sydtysk veteöl i hefeweizen-stil. Hvit har en typisk veteölskaraktär med smakinslag av krusbär, kryddnejlika och banan. En lätt öl med många smakupplevelser helt enkelt.

Draught at 3 Små Rum, Göteborg, on April 19, 2014.Cloudy yellow color, white head. Banana estery, some phenolic clove, malty sweet, fresh scent. Malty sweet, phenolic clove, spice perhaps of white pepper, estery banana taste. Fizzy high CO2 mouthfeel, some wheat dough aftertaste. Low bitterness.A rather fine example of the style, one of the better executed ones I’ve had from a Swedish brewery as I can remember. The wheat dough is not that pleasant though, and something I personally dislike in any beer I find it in.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Pikkulintu, 20130716) The beer poured yellow and cloudy. Its head was quite small and white. Aroma had clove, berries, fruitiness and mildly malts. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were clove, fruitiness, berries, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. This was indeed very spicy hefeweizen as the bottle label suggests. Still I found this likeable.
