Derail is our Belgian-style strong golden ale. This beer was inspired by the amazing beers created by the Trappist monks of Belgium. Derail is light on the palate, but deep and complex in flavor and aroma. The Derail has notes of candied fruit from our proprietary yeast blend, which play off flavors of fresh cut hay from the premium German malts, and a finish with a touch of earth and spice from noble hops. The Derail is an entirely engaging drinking experience.

Bottle @ home. Golden orange appearance with a white head. Sweet paler malty, creamy, citrusy hoppy aroma. Bitter, grassy, citrusy hoppy, bready, straw, pale malty flavor. Not all that smooth.

Bomber - pours a hazy gold, with a light ring of foam - the whole experience comes across like drinking an overly sweet double IPA in which the hops of gone dull and stale - kind of a sweet mess, with a bit of sulfuric character and vegetal notes - the alcohol, sweetness and limited hop character do a half-assed job of covering these flaws - some cooling mint flavor on the back end - an odd mess of a beer, but not entirely undrinkable.
