A very drinkable porter that emphasizes the dark chocolate and caramel flavors of the English malts. Aroma is typical of the classic combination of English yeast and hops - floral and fruity. This ale is closely based on a recipe from London, England in the early 1800’s.

On tap @ the brewery. Pours a clear reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Cocoa, cola, marshmallows, and light roast in the nose. Dull carbonation. Moderate light sweetness. Dull bitterness. Very low carbonation, God dammit. The flavor is nice and chocolate forward with a bit of coconut and vanilla but again, undercarbed.

Tap at the brewery -labeled "Prim and Porter" - dark ruby pour - off-white lace - nicely done porter, with an ample mix of dry, roastiness, cookie/dough notes, anise, cocoa, with a nice burton-ish bite on the end - a touch of raisin, molasses, and smoke as well - soft texture, dry finish - nice.
