12.7 ounce bottle courtesy of pantanap. Thanks! Opened to celebrate a recent victory for a friend and his family. Pours a dark brown color with nearly no head. Weird aroma... roasted malts, cheese, whisky, chocolate, tart fruit finish. The taste is chocolate, roasted malts, toffee, whisky and a tart cherry finish. Medium bodied.

Refrigerated 12.7 oz. brown bottle corked and capped acquired through trade poured into a snifter. Pours opaque black with small light brown head. Little lacing, thick body, velvety texture, low carbonation, and brandy aroma. Taste is dark fruit (mostly raisin), roasted salty malt, brandy, bourbon, oak, and a hint of alcohol. Complex, alcohol is well covered for 12.5% abv, would be interested in having this again.

Bottle at Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2012. Deep brown liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of raw sugar, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, wood, caramel and biscuit. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of raw sugar and caramel. Too sweet for my taste. Full bodied with low carbonation. Some booze as well.

FC Nordsjælland vs. Chelsea FC Champions League football night tasting in Odense, October 2012. Black with a lasting tan head. Big boozy aroma of bourbon and vineous dried fruitwith some licorice, molasses and vanilla. Sweet malty flavour with a roasted note, complex vineous alcohol and fruit. Mix two good things and they don’t necessarily get better...

Bottle. Pours black small beige head. Vanilla, milkchocolate, berry, and something a bit salt - roasted popcorn? Choclaty, vinous, nicley alcoholic. Warming. Actually quite balanced, and not as extreme as one would think.

375ml bottle @ vPBF
Pours dark brown with a sticky light brown head. Aroma of sweet molasses, bourbon, oak, vanilla, roasted malts, syrup and hints of coffee. Taste is sweet and sugary with bourbon, oak, vanilla, molasses, syrup, chocolate and coffee. Finish is sweetish and malty with oaky vanilla notes and syrup. Too sweet for my taste, but still quite tasty and complex ale. 8-4-8-4-16 = 4.0
Re-rated on 22.11.2013. This bottle is not as overly sweet as the one I had before. A very complex and balanced mix of a stout and a barley wine. Nice and enjoyable slow sipper.
