Bottle at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast nuttiness, oak, booze. Medium body, sweet nuttiness, nice roast, cocoa, good.

As "Funkwerks Belgian Stout" that was stated to have oatmeal in it, at 6% ABV. Not sure this is the correct entry, but will leave it here instead of creating a new beer.Draught at Funkwerks Brewery in Fort Collins, on April 6, 2014.Black color, tan head. Grainy, oatmeal scent. Sweet, bitter taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Bitter aftertaste.

Tap at Rackhouse - black pour - a lot of sediment in the bottle of the glass - much more hefty than I was expecting - with a fair amount of bittersweet chocolate a first, followed by drier notes of roast and smoke - Belgian yeast adds a touch of phenolic character, mild esters - a moderate tartness compliments a light woodiness in the finish - I enjoyed this.

Tap @ Funkwerks. Deep brown appearance with a nice, full, dark brown head. Roasty, oaty, milk chocolate, light vanilla, mild espresso aroma. A touch nutty, roasty, milk chocolate flavor with a slightly bitter, thin finish.
