At a tasting, smallish bubbly head, very dark brown but not completley opaque, dark bread and chocolate aroma with some old hops, flavor of intense dark chocolate with some coal and charred notes, quite bitter. Drinkable but not too exciting.

Bottle at Craig’s. Shit the bed, never seen this before. Didn’t think I ever would. Cheers birthday boy! Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of wood, light chocolate. Taste is massive chocolate hit, light coffee roast. Medium body, roasted bitter finish.

Rated from backlog. Very dark brown with brown head. Well balanced beer, with a good combination of bitter hops and both sweet chocolate and bitter coffee malts. Fine slightly oily body, nice soft carbo.
