33cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark amber with a nice red hue. The nose has delicate caramel malt with just a hint of something red and fruity. The taste has sweet red malt with a biscuity bitterness just following it up, something creamy in there too. The palate is just about medium bodied with a creamy texture and a lovely balanced biscuity finish. Overall, great beer - well put together.

Bottle at The Flying Elk, April 2013. Dark amber with a large white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, light hops and some nuts. The taste was soft with some hops, fruit, caramel and something that reminded of chocolate.

A sligthly red, brown beer with a medium and beige head. Aroma of toffee and some caramell malts, fruits, aromatic, wet exotic wood and some citrusfruits. Taste is sligthly toffeeish, wood, medium bitterness and thus the taste is quite dry, some citrusfruits. Medium bodied, quite smooth carbonation. Quite nice and not too sweet Amber Ale, the bottle is probably quite old, and thus not very fresh.

0.33l bottle shared with The tasting Crew. This is a light cloudy dark amber-red one with a nice small islandy off-white top. Smells quite nice with a dark sweet caramel, some red berries and fruity hops. Really nice taste on this. It's caramelly sweet, lot's of dry grassy bitterness. Light dry in the mouth all the way, and it's average to soft on the carbonation with a light both dry and oily mouthfeel. Quite elegantly balanced. Some hints of sweet licorice in the aftertaste. Could easily drink this again. 18.10.2012

Rated in 2009 in the Shinkansen from bottle. Agressive pine hopped aroma. I assume it’s amber, anyway the owl on the Label is cute. Honey roasted sweet entry, pine and citric balance, retains some sticky restsugars, as a consequence a Solid body, fine sparklyness dissolves it on the tongue. Quite drinkable.

Bottles from Drinkmonger and House Of Trembling Madness. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of rye bread, copper, rice and cherry. Flavour of Dr Pepper, ginger, filter coffee and berries. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. The colour is excellent and it has a nice sweet flavour.
