Can from Harvest. Pours a deep brown to black. Nice viscosity with a finger of beige head that lingers. Big caramel, milk chocolate and coffee aromas on the nose. Vanilla notes as it warms. More of the same on the palate. Silky smooth...dangerously smooth. More vanilla, coffee and caramel on the finish. Great as usual.

1 pint can. Pours black with light fizzy head. Aromas of earthy black coffee, soy sauce, vanilla, and soft roasted malts. Flavors follow same; somewhat sweet, but mostly fresh roast coffee. Very good but coffee is a bit too prominent IMHO; could have been much richer with a better malt balance.

16 oz. Pours very dark brown to black with a thin tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roast, dark bread. Taste is moderately sweet with a lightly bitter edge; nice chocolaty coffee flavors. Velvety mouthfeel. Tasty coffee stout.

(750ml 2018 bottle from Glasbanken, Colombia La Virgien version) Pours oily black with basically no head. Aroma of moderately roasted malt with torrified grains and a bit of acidity, earthy cacao tones, fruity coffee with tones of deeper citrus and red berry, praline, vanilla, a little creamy lactose. Flavour is moderately sweet and lightly acidic (roast/coffee), initial hit of roasted malt with tones of chocolate, Tia Maria, praline, moderately roasted grains, coffee is quite fruity and fairly high-acid in quality with notes of orange and pale berries, praline nutty tones, slightly herbal/floral vanilla and hops, quite earthy towards the finish with dusty roast and coffee bean tones, very dry finish with light to moderate bitterness. Rather full body, oily to creamy, very soft carbonation. Very nice coffee stout that's aged quite well, despite the lactose addition it is not really pastry in character as it's quite dry and allows the coffee to express itself.

Nice bold coffee and roast. Mouthfeel / texture is very smooth like velvet / creamy. The body is full and thick. Complex blend of every flavor you look for in a stout. Excellent long-lasting roasted coffee bean.

Can (best by 7/26/22) pour from share with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's an inky, opaque black with light viscosity, finger width light brown head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong coffee and cream. Taste is strong, rich sweet roasted coffee. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with smooth, thick texture, alcohol warmth in the esophagus and stomach, soft carbonation and finish as taste with mildest lingering roasted bitterness. Overall, not complex but strong coffee in aroma and flavor while avoiding bitterness and nice look and feel.
