Draught @ Rbabarrap, CPH. Pours black with a brown head, light lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, rich coffee, coffee grounds, little dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet, light bitter, rich malty, caramel, rich coffee, dark chocolate, little chocolate. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation, sweet finish with light warming alcohol. 080519

Bottle @ home, from January 2018. Pours like motoroil, thick and jet black. Dense dark brown head with a small layer retention. Strong aroma's of roasted coffee with additional sweetness, dark chocolate and a touch of red fruit. Retronasal follows this. Flavour is above moderate sweet with a little coffee sourness. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Full bodied. Oily mouthfeel, prickly carbonation. Long finish with roasted coffee and drak chocolate. Not nearly enjoyed within the recommended 60 days after bottling, but still delicious. Lives up to its reputation.
This review was for the first part of the bottle.
Unfortunately, upon pouring the rest, it turned out to be a completely undrinkable muddy mess. Literally thick as mud, extremely bitter, to the point of non-digestible, and at bottom the of the bottle I found a layer of glutinous jelly. I'm sure this is not how it's supposed to be, and I will give it another try if I get the chance, but until that time, I had to grade down my rating considerably.

Bottle (thanks tiong). Pours thick creamy black brown with high viscosity. Brown foam on the top. Nose has nice roast, sweet dark fruit chutney, liquid chocolate. Tastes sweet, creamy, cherry chocolate with light booze, coffee bitterness, pretty amazing actually. Good creamy mouthfeel, liquid chocolate with coffee. Tasty, I like this dry overall feel after some original sweetness.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Opaque colour, big creamy brown head. Roasted, coffeish, milky aroma. Full-bodied. Smooth, roasted, coffeish, coffee bean tartness in the flavour. Heavy on coffee side, excellent.
