75 cl bottle, corked and caged, from my local Hemköp (Bifrost), sampled on October 22, 2012.Swedish back label, front reads "Ecusson Maison fondée en 1919" then "Cidre Doux". Followed "Finesse et fruité" then "Vergers de Normandie".Even well chilled tries to come fast out of the bottle when opened, have a glass ready.Clear golden color, small white head. Sweet, fruity, berry scent. First comes off as strawberries, canned ones, not fresh. An underlying fruit puree made of apples, strawberries and apricots. Smell also has a sort of chemical feel to it, still ok and more to the fresh side than stale. Very sweet start, fruity, berries, almost lemonade type of taste at first. The canned strawberries comes through in the taste as well, with a mix of sugar water. Leaves a sticky sweet, sugar and strawberries residue on the lips.Apples comes out more in the aftertaste than anything else. Finishes fairly dry. Medium, though high co2 level, mouthfeel. No bitterness, but has got that dry sensation on the tongue after a while that reminds me of slightly harsh fruit peels.

Corked bottle from Auchan, Quatre Temps, La Défense, Paris, 2.5% ABV
It has a deeper shade of blond than the Brut/Sec. Sweetish apple aroma, mild. The flavor as well is sweetish, some apple juice, very light cork in the end. Very simple.

(Bottle 75 cl) Fully golden with a tiny, white head. Lightly sourish apple aroma. Very distinct apple flavour and a distinct sweetness - never cloyingly so though. Actually rather authentic. Lovely for a light cider. 240206
