This is a fruit beer which uses a raspberry extract added after conditioning. The beer is unfiltered and should be a little cloudy. This is traditional for wheat beers. The malted wheat itself makes up 20% of the total grain.

Bottle at Coopers Highland Pub, Estes Park - 02/06/12. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a tight white head that soon dissipates. Sugary raspberry aroma on the nose allied to wheat and a little pale malt. Teast follows, no real stregth in depth, a little aspartame in the flavour. Light bodied, average carbonation, sweet finish. I’ve rated this beer in the context of it being 90 outside and I wanted refreshment, it did the job! If I stumbled across this in a bar in November I doubt it would rate as highly!

Bottle from the brewpub. Pours hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma is mild raspberry. Med body/avg carb. Flavor is raspberry and wheat. Comes across a bit perfumey. It’s ok.

draft at the brewpub - Pours lightly hazy orange and smells of wheat and raspberry. The flavor is full of raspberries, probably an extract, and other than that is a sweet, light bodied wheat with not much going. It’s alright.

12oz bottle. Big raspberry aroma hits you on the first whiff. Hazy orange-tan, with a respectable head. The taste is pretty straightforward red-raspberry, extract style. The wheat adds a hint of complexity, but this one is a little one-dimensional, with the sweet raspberry taste dominating. Not really bad for the style, just lacks some subtleties. OK.

Bright reddish yellow color with a thin white head and minimal lacing. Raspberry and wheat aroma, shockingly. Light body with a sweet raspberry and malt character. Not much else to the flavor though. The finish is sweet and fruity. Not much too it, this is a non-threatening and easy to drink fruit beer.
