Carmel and Munich malts give our flavored red ale a rich toffee and roasted nut character. We top off his beer with a healthy addition of American hops for a perfect balance.

Draft at HB burger: Poured a clear copper color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention. Aroma of medium caramel malt with light dry finish. Taste is not the most spectacular with good caramel malt and a light subtle dry hoppy finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but really not something to seek out again.

On tap at Heartland Empire State Building on 23rd July 2009. Russet-coloured with whitish head, quite sticky in nature - sweet caramel and toffee notes abound initially then the hops kick in to give a dry, though citric, finish.

A dark reddish mahoganny ale with a thin white head. This must be a Irish red since the butterscotch predominates in aroma, fruity, not unpleasant. In mouth, a good nutty beer, with light torrefied malt, but again, very short and sweetish. Nice effort. Tasted at the Union Square location, Nov. 2006.

Light fruits, light hops, some bitterness, and caramel malts. Crisp and refreshing but not all that flavorful. It is beer, but thats about as far as it goes.

Draught at the brewpub, Radio City
Dark amber color with red hue. Some caramel aroma. Medium body, a lot of dark caramel taste, maybe too much ending bitterness from the roasted malts.

Sample at the Heartland Chophouse: Dark amber with a compact off-white head and thin rings of lace. Malty nose, with some nuts too. The mouthfeel is smooth (almost flat) and sweet, with malt, nut and caramel flavor. The finish retains the sweetness, along with some hops in the background. This seems like their flagship beer and it is a decent session brew.
