Bottled (BB 08/2007)
Top-fermented beers from Estonia are few ... Good classic Baltic porter outlook: very dark ruby-brown color, good expresso head. Dark toasted malts and alcohol in the nose. Fizzy mouthfeel - a bit too carbonated. Medium to full bodied. Taste is actually quite similar to Estonian Baltic porters or "tume"-beers, this has fuller body than most of them although. Caramelly sweetish, burned sugar flavor, alcohol picks up in the aftertaste, lacks roasty flavors usually present in the stout. I like drinking dark Estonian beers, this one too, but this is not very good example of top-fermented stout - without knowing I could guess this being Baltic porter.

[Bottled] Dark brown with a rich head. Sweet liquorice aroma. Dry liquorice flavour. Harsh alcohol-ish flavour. Finish is sweet, too sweet. I’m not impressed.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, warm mahogany brown with a reddish hue and a small, beige head. Discreet aroma of roasted malt. Medium-bodied with lightly sweet, roasted malts and a lightlty burned edge. Discreet bitterness. Not a great beer, but highly drinkable. 150107

Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is metallic, malty and vegetably. Flavour is roasted malts, vegetables, metal and some slight toffee. Quite boring and unbalanced as to the flavour. Once it gets warmer some weak chocolateish hints also come through. Harsh aftertaste of grass, hay, caramel and metallic dryness.
