A very good choice for those who are not keen on a typical beer taste. Very easy to drink and very refreshing. Yuzu is a Japanese lemon. During brewering, only the peel is used to steep inside the Lambic.

THX! to & courtesy of Kraddel. 375 ml. bottle β looks like they switched formats now β sampled on the train. 2013 Edition. I have never tried Yuzu (the fruit) but it does seem like a pretty interesting fruit. Nose carries lots of funk, candied lemons, lots of lemon peel, lots of lambic funk, horseblanket but not much sourness. It smells of lemon peel sweet with a light tang but doesnβt feel sweetened in any way. Taste is lightly tart lemon (really no sour lemon here), lots of lemon peel, touch candied lemon, ginger, more peel, nice funk, faint wood, light tang,β¦ Feels like a hybrid between lemonade & lambic in a good way because all the lemonade-characters seem to be coming from the fruit & it never feels sweetened or anything. Easy drinking, less carbonated lemonade body. Very interesting beer & one of most unusual sours I have had (in a good way). Great stuff here. Apparently the 2012 Version was sourer but try finding that one.

Bottled, with the brewer. Huge yuzu nose, big citrus, very light funk and leather. Flavor is big yuzu but not sweet. Deceptive, as it seems sweet at first, but that is the huge fruit. It is actually very dry, clean, with only a bit of lambic character (4 month old jonge lambic is used). There is some horse blanket and dust, though. Crisp palate. Cloudy, lemon-gold color. Very nice.

seems like i have the first rating strangely enough ? didnt realize this was as rare as it seems to be... had it at horeca expo (ghent) . al others lambics were out, and this was one of the last glasses of the lemon edition ( wich this is ) pours light blonde / hazy . no foam tastes sourness ( yet not extreme) of the lambic, combined with the sourness of the lemon. the outcome is kinda what youβd expect. its not extreme sour ( not the likes of hanssens or such) and its not waawing. but for a small , ( i also think beginning) brewerie like this, this is actualy VERY nice done !
