Bottle (shared by thewolf, René!). Huge thanks. Deep red colour with a mediumsized beige head, leaving lace, and foam staying for a good while. Aroma is sweet malts, wome wood anbd mild plummy tones. Flavour is figs, caramel, raisins, some mild wood and quite earthy elements too.

[Bøgedal nr. 43 fad] A deep red beer with a lazing orange head - clearer and lighter than the non cask matured version. The flavor is sweet and rather fruity, but also with notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as light notes of red wine and straw, leading to a dry end with a slight wine bitterness. The mouthfeel is very rounded and mellow. This beer has evolved a lot from the 3 months in a redwine cask.

Bottled. (# 43 fad)75cl, champagne-cork. Dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is lightly roasted, but a bit less than the ordinary. Some raisins here too, and some coffee. Flavor is roasted, malty and with coffee, and it has some notes of alcohol. Almost full-bodied and lightly sweet, with a dry, bitter finish, a bit dryer than the version that is not oak-aged. Thx Jens for sharing this one. (060518)
