Bottle from Binnys, Chicago. Poured a clear reddish dark brown with a broken bubbly off white head. The aroma is malt, liqourice and light aniseed. The flavour is medium bitter, light sweet with a smooth malty liqourice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Really easy drinking. Super smooth with lots going on. Really liked this.

22oz Bottle pours a rich dark brown with a small and fizzy light tan head. Malty bitter chocolate aroma with some papery notes. Smooth semi sweet dark roast malt flavor, lightly hopped even for the style, smooth palate, and a little charcoal at the very end. Very good, well rounded porter.

Bomber shared at home. Pours dark brown with decent white head & lacing. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, toffee, something metallic. Taste is the same; good, balanced, but not in any way exciting. I expected more after the Union Jack & Double Jack. This is just a bog-standard porter, and not worth GBP10 a bottle!

Bottle enjoyed at BrewDog, Camden, London. Pours out a very dark brown colour with a small off-white head. Has an intense, though mild, roasted malt chocolate aroma. Bittersweet milk chocolate finish. Medium/full body, soft carbonation. Expensive at Β£11, but much enjoyed.
