Old rating - A 330ml bottle brought home from Belgium some years ago. Pours a hazy brown colour with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, dark fruits, raisin, nuts, hints of spice & sweet malt. Mild to medium carbonation. Soft slightly nutty finish. Outstanding

Bottle. I really like this beer but I just wish it was a little less expensive. Nice fruity, flavor with hints of chocolate, vanilla, and dates. Highly recommended.

Excellent beer, I pair this often with desert. Typical trappist look to it, nice frothy thick head, coats the inside of the chalice nicely. Aroma is very sweet, loads of dried fruit, and caramel.
Flavour is once again very sweet, very well rounded, flavours are all there, plum, raisin, caramel, with a tinge of vanilla. Nice finish. a little too easy to drink.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di speziato. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma cremosa ha una buona tenuta, è persistente e termina con merletti sul bordo del bicchiere. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di aspetto velato. La carbonazione è bassa, persistente ed insistita. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il retrogusto è intenso. In bocca l'aroma trova tutte le caratteristiche di caramello, miele, cereali, frutta secca, pane tostato, frutta disidratata, caldo e alcol presente.
