Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy red/brown colored brew with an subtle bitter taste and hints of dried fruits and some caramel. At last rated the weakest of the Rochefort family.

Light, toasted malt flavour, dried fruits, spices. Finish is notably sweet, with lingering dried fruits. It's ok. Bottle LCBO

Bought locally, best by October 5th 2027.

It pours a cloudy rust colour, huge head of foam, very good retention and lacing.

Smell is caramel malt, spices, pitted fruit, no noticeable bitterness.

Taste is sweet with caramel malt and candi sugar, somewhat spicy, yeasty, earthy.

Medium bodied, light carbonation, I really dig this!

330mL bottle, 05.10.2027 code, drunk 6/4/24. Bright amber-auburn. Small, yellowish head quickly to ring. Smells fruity, clean, bit of specialty malt (toast). Even a bit buttery (not Diacetyl). Mild. I don't know. Prototypical Belgian, I guess. Buttery, toasty. Lots of specialty malt. Not crude on the ester/phenol profile. Red fruit, light white pepper. Dry at least. Kind of a peppery, annoying carbonation. Ehhhh....pretty over-specialty malted, to say nothing else. Addendum: hmmm, this is getting A LOT better as it breathes. Some softer caramel, fruit and floral notes with the texture approaching more of a creaminess.

Leise Gewürze, deutliche Kandiszuckersüße; Anklänge an Schokolade. Schaumig rezent, vollmundig. (3.1.2024.)

Miedziana barwa, zamglone, mocno nasycone, piana wysoka, szybko opada bez śladu. W aromacie wyczuwalne nuty skórki chlebowej, karmelu oraz nuty przyprawowe. W smaku bardzo podobnie do aromatu, trochę nasycenie przeszkadza w degustacji. Alkohol niewyczuwalny, ciało na odpowiednim poziomie.

One of those brews I’ve assumed I had prior but nope. Dark amber pour and a good sized fluffy beige noggin. Nose is bready and dark fruits. Tatses of bread, pear, plum, dates, herbal, old furniture. Chewy mouthfeel.
