Bottle, I forget from where. Dark gold, massive airy head that really sticks around and looks fantastic. Spicy herbal nose, hints of orange peel, yeast notes. Flavor has complex brown sugar, fat yeast overtones, smooth rounded malty bread notes. Mouthfeel is full and the carbonation is magically effervescent. Great one, monks.

330 ml aged bottle. Murky brown, foamy quickly disappearing head. Loads of nuts and chocolate, caramel, dried fruits, light dry lemon notes. Malty sweetness, light dryness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry malty sweet finish. Very nice, very balanced and drinkable!

Start of a Belgian beer evening, as we may struggle to get these in the UK in the future.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a hazy light caramel brown colour with a medium sized throthy off-white head. Light aromas of caramel, floral and dried fruits. Taste is very similar to the aroma with the same notes again with added hints of butterscotch, tea and some peppery spice. Medium body with a very lively fizzy champagne like mouthfeel. Not too much deep flavours but a nice well made beer all the same.

0,33 bottle. Beautiful opaque amber color, dense white foam that remains in a small dense layer. Delicious, cognac, sweet, fruity round and intense aroma. Slightly carbonated, moderately full-bodied among the Belgians. Feel a little alcohol too. As it warms up, it becomes more and more dried-fruit. The candy flavor is a bit dominant, so "cellar in nature" but in a good way. Matured old, serious "musty", sweet old wine effect. Classic. Somehow it turned out that I tasted 8 and 10 earlier. They may have been better, but it’s also a very fine strong ale. As it warmed up, it became more and more delicious. Interestingly, there was a lot of yeast and sediment at the bottom, I would improve it to be fuller than the average Belgian :) It is also a respectable beer.

Gyönyörű opálos borostyán szín, sűrű fehér hab, ami egy kis sűrű rétegben megmarad. Finom, konyakos, édeskés, gyümölcsös kerek és intenzív illat. Kissé szénsavas, közepesen testes a belgák közt. Picit az alkoholt is érezni. Ahogy melegszik, egyre jobban aszalt-gyümölcsösség uralkodik. Kicsit uralkodó a kandiscukros íz, olyan "pince jellegű", de jó értelemben. Érlelt régi, komoly "dohos" , édes óboros hatás. Klasszikus.
