This traditional lager was completely fermented and aged in a new American oak foeder (large wooden vessel). This unique process lends vanilla notes, rounds out the body and adds a unique marshmallow note to the finished beer. As with all our lagers, the Foeder Lager is unfiltered and naturally carbonated.

Draft at 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a mostly clear straw yellow with a full finger of white foam that lingers. Nice crisp and clean nose with husked grain aromas and light oak. A touch peppery with what seem to be noble hops. Light wood, leafy noble hop bitterness on the palate with a touch of dried vanilla bean. Bone dry finish. Quite nice.
