Traditional Belgian brown beer of high fermentation with refermentation in the bottle. A rather dry dark speciality beer made with dark malts and 4 hops (Magnum, Styrian, Kent & Saaz) which are giving a rich flavor. Contains Barley Malt. 120 EBC.

Bottle. Your usual yeasty belgian ale with some slighlty metallic, somewhat roasted malty touch. Not bad, but nothing extraordinary either.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, dark bread, caramel, some dried fruits, hint of roast, raisins. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Not a bad Belgian Dark Ale, has some noticeable bitterness which is a good thing.

Tap at Hazeburg, Ermelo: Dark brown coloured brew with an nice bitter taste and hints of roasted malts and caramel.

Bottle @ home. Almost clear, brown/amber body under a big, creamy off-white head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, brown sugar and Belgium yeast. Taste is sweet caramel malt, toffee, brown sugar and Belgium yeast. Medium body and average aftertaste. Quite average, drinkable, food friendly Belgium brown ale.

Bottle. dark brown color. Caramel and pear in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty caramelly flavor with pear. Too sweet, but at least there are some agreable flavors to compensate

Bière 75 cl trouvée chez Market Boissons à Wattignies. Robe brune foncée, nuances orangées, limpide, grosse mousse brune crémeuse. Nez malté. En bouche, bière équilibrée, corps malté et fortement caramélisé, pain grillé, café, amertume houblonnée. Belle longueur en bouche. Pas désagréable mais manque quand même de corps et le caramel manque de subtilité.
