Traditional Belgian brown beer of high fermentation with refermentation in the bottle. A rather dry dark speciality beer made with dark malts and 4 hops (Magnum, Styrian, Kent & Saaz) which are giving a rich flavor. Contains Barley Malt. 120 EBC.

Bottle. A dense, finger-thick beige head leaves lacings over a dark brown, reddish body. Malty, nutty and bready aroma with a herbal touch. Toffee. It’s rather heavily carbonated, with a nice bitterness. Full body. Toffee, roasted malts, some notes of coffee grit and bread, and a nutty touch in the flavor. Lasting finish. Seems quite nice at first this one, but it’s actually not. 160806

Pours clear amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and sugar. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, dried fruits and sugary finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear orangey brown with a beige head. Complex aroma, dark dried fruits, but very pleasant. Medium body, the burned caramel sweetness is very downplayed - thankfuly - but the flavours are very complex and delicious. Sort of a mini Quad! 150616

Bottle, shared by marduk, thanks. Pours brown with light beige head. Aroma is fruits, esthers, malt. Flavor is sweet, malt, fruits, some citrus. Finish has some toffee. Body is on the light side. Overall: good.

Dark brown colored, medium beige creamy head, not too lasting, good lacing. Aroma is of caramel, brown sugar, dark fruits, some nuts and toasted malt, bit spice. Taste is medium+ sweet brown sugar and toffee, nuts and light spice, dried fruits, toasted bready finish, light+ spicy bitterness. Medium bodied, average carbonation, bit creamy.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, light sourness, wood, little berries. Flavor is roasted malt, caramel, toast, nuts, a bit of sourness. Thin to medium body, average carboantion, dry finish. 170216
