Can split at Chriso pre Xmas tasting, 06/12/15. Hazed orange amber with a big ole egg shell white covering. Nose is orange pith, straw, earthy hop, grain, bread dough. Taste comprises sweet malt, bitter orange, light bread, caramel, satsumas. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop wash. Ok drinkable affair but overly sweet and not one I’d return to. Hops do not SHN.

Can shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas/post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Big thanks to Sander for procuring and Chris for transporting! Pours unclear orange-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds ripe citrus fruits, bread, melon, minerals, pineapple. Medium to heavy sweet flavour, with bitter pine, lightly toasted grains, honey, bread, oranges. Full bodied with average carbonation. Sugary finish with lots of ripe and gooey fruits, more ripe citrus, grain, slight flinty minerality. So so overall.

Tallboy can from Whole Foods Portland (ME). Hazy yellow orange, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of citrus hops and buttery caramel malt. The taste is grapefruit, citrus, lime, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Seems like an attempt to mask an infection, but, decent.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of floral hoppy notes with grassy and citrusy notes which are very enticing. Taste is a nice mix between some citrusy and grassy notes with some light residual sugar notes. Bitterness is maintained at a low level. Body is light with good carbonation. Easy drinking with nice hoppy notes and limited bitterness.

16 oz. can purchased at Kittery 7-Eleven. No date coding anyplace on the can. Chalice shows a unclear orange color with quick dying head. Aroma is mildly floral with pine and traces of malts.

The flavor starts with sweet grain and crystal malts. Since this is a blend the nuances can easily change by batch. This has a floral and pine bitterness that drys out the mouthfeel. The body is medium with a carbonation level that is on the mild side. The can says 8% ABV and it’s noticeable. It seems like it’s just a step above a home brew. Funny thing is I then remember it is a blend. At nearly $5.00 for a can ( and as high as $15.00 a four pack) my money can be better spent elsewhere. I hope for the sake of the Brewer he finds some help to brew his beer. Because of the price point I will not even contemplate buying it again.

Poured from can hazy flame orange with a thin fizzy white head. Aromas of fresh citrus floral and caramel notes. Taste is medium bitter slightly sweet and a balanced bitterness. Not bad for a blend.

Lord Hobo: pretty mich a random mix of beer flavors. Boozy and fruity notes are both there. Plenty of tastes but none that stand out. Not a huge fan for obvious reasons.

Boom caramel, butterscotch. Boom boring.
