What I have is a pint can acquired from Half Time recently. The label presents well, let us see if the contents do as well. My globe glass catches the pour and I see a quite clear yellow body completed by a decent head of fully white foam. An old school nose with a strong hops presence, grain and some grassiness, nice in my book. The taste follows along with citrus, a honey sweetness, biscuit, meadow and a bit of pine. Not a hop bomb but decently bitter. There is a fine lacing action I have not seen in some time. I will admit that I am not an IPA fan particularly but this is a good DIPA.

Purchased at Gaspars in Temple Terrace, FL. Bought because of the name, not super into this one unfortunately. Heavy for the style, just very bready. Its ok but just doesn’t hit right for me.

12oz can. Unfiltered body. Even though it really has an old school resinous IIPA tone, the spelt, oat, wheat thick out the body some, giving it a creamy feel. The taste and aroma are just stale old school hops...the Falconer's Flight flavor at this point I guess. Not impressive at all.

On tap at Haandgemeng. An almost clear yellow colored beer with a short lived medium siced white head. The aroma has hints of pale malts, but it's the piney and citrusy hops that do most of the work. Grapefruit and a touch of orange. It's full-bodied and quite dry, with a pleasant carbonation and a good bitterness. The flavor too is very low on maltyness, with grapefruit, pine cones and some orange doing most of the job. Long finish. Sure it's a fine one, but all the way from the first sniff it felt a bit old. Could it be the spelt causing it? Anyway, I wouldn't shy away if I was offered it again. 171027
