This step-mashed, Old World German-Style Helles Fest Lager was constructed with a base of German Weyermann malt, German Perle and Mittelfrüh hops, and conditioned in wooden barrels at 3º C for two months. This lightly hopped, pale lager is gently carbonated with krausen and best enjoyed fresh.

What’s not to love. Clean, light fresh, touch of oak. Smooth honey sweetness

Growler pour shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark!! It's a lightly hazy pale yellow with thin cap of off-white head and no lacing. Aroma is European malts with mild bitterness and florals. Taste is strong pale European malts with mild yeast and fruit reminiscent of a Kolsch. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, good complexity for the style.

750 ml. Growler. Nose of grain, sweet malt and lager yeast. Flavor has grain, herbs, old world hops. Lighter body with a clean finish. More body and texture you would normally get from a German lager. Nice!

Armsby Lukr, 9/24/22. Clear, light brass. Large, creamy, white head. White grape, fresh herb and mineral with dainty, honey-like malt and light cracker. Very delicate and enticing. Malty and delicate with prominent honey and white grape. A bit loose on the finish, though appropriate for its small size. Clean, low bitterness, lingering minerality. Incredibly balanced. 10/8/8/10/8.5
Brewery side pour (pictured), drunk 9/4/25.
Wow the mineral and honey-like character is just oozing from the glass.
Fresh herb with light mint and light, crackery, tannic oak. Big chewiness up front but drying out completely. Crisp, herbal, peppery and oaky finish but never getting too dry. A lot going on for its size. Upping the score a bit. It's just too damned flavorful and drinkable even if there's just a touch toouch oak tannin in this batch. Score is for this iteration.

2L growler Pale yellow. 4 finger creamy white head. Smells amazing. Mulch, European hops, graham cracker , banana and corn. Oh boy that’s good. Chewy yeast and malt, mulch, grass. Insanely low carbonation. Oily. Good flavor at first. Ending is bitter.
