This high-octane version of Fundamental Observation saw systematic additions of dextrose to power up the brew’s fermentable sugars and help boost the ABV up to a 16.2% finish. After sixteen months of aging and concentrating on Tahitian vanilla beans in bourbon barrels, this beer makes its long-awaited debut as the Final Boss Stage for 2016’s T3 Passport Holders.

Pretty thin body, boozy, sweet. Vanilla, chocolate, bourbon, some herbal vibes. Really smooth but also maybe a bit muted, still very nice though.

50 cl bottle @ Monkish Jyri Batch #003, vintage 2021. 17,17% Aroma has cocoa, milk chocolate and somewhat salty licorice. Flavour has sharp-ish alcohol, chocolate, salty licorice. Also vanilla and bourbon tones. A decent slow sipper, the soy sauce notes disturb a bit in the finish though.

Backlog. MBCC 2018. Pours pitch black with a quickly disappearing brown head. Aromas of booze, dark chocolate, vanilla, fudge, tar. Taste has vanilla, fudge, milk chocolate, dark malts, booze, tary finish. Not sure why people are going mental about this one, although it was quite nice. Fundamental Summation is much better in my opinion.

500ml bottle. Sweet, heavy, complex, massive and warming. Quite a lot of vanilla, bourbon, oak, wood, toffee, syrup, coffee, chocolate, cocoa and sweetness. Borderline too sweet. Massive, almost overwhelming beer.

Fat på MBCC 2018, grönt pass. Riktigt mörk mörkbrun, näst intill svart med tunt brunt skum. Massor av kola, fudge och kolaremmar. Enorm kladdig kropp med bra tryck från alkoholvärmen. I smaken bourbon, kola, likörpralin, menthol, tjärpastill, hostmedicin. Riktigt mäktig och maffig, men skulle ev kunna tjäna på att tämjas en aning! Men riktigt gott fortfarande.
