In our effort to make a tripel a bit more exciting than most examples out there, we decided to spice it like a Thai dish. Lemongrass, Galangal root, coriander, orange peel and chilli pepper blend in with some exotic latehops in this tripel.

Dorada amarillenta, abundante espuma, poco duradera. Buen aspecto. Aroma bastante especiado, con cilantro predominate. En boca es seca y de carácter más especiado aún. Ciertamente recuerda en su base a las triples belgas, pero añade notas diferentes, cítricas y el cilantro, y especialmente con un final claramente picante donde aparecen los chiles, junto con el calor alcohólico. Interesante, aunque puede resultar algo cansina.

Draught at Bryggerifestivalen 2017. Shared with Finn. White head with fine retention. Clingy lacing down the glass. Cloudy, warm golden body. Modest spiced fruity nose. Rather refreshing flavours of citrus and citrus shells to the start then overrun by the chili part. Not easy to drink. (Trondheim 04.08.2017).

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy deep golden color with thin quickly diminishing off-white head, floating yeast particles and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of coriander, wheat, yeast, pepper and spices. Taste starts with medium sweet toasted and bready malt, following is grassy and yeasty with herbal and ginger note, mouthfeel is warming spicy, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Fuckin’ gusher, more than two thirds of a bottle went out...

Off white head immediately left a cover on a still orange coloured body. Earthy aroma with yeast. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate & very tingly on the back. Sweet citrus, pepper, spicy, yeast & peach & a long peppery finish. The problem is the pepper overides everything else.
