Bevog Fest 17. Sweet, roasty, coriander, some lime, some chili pepper. Sticky sweetness, really spicy. Not bad, but a bit too much.

Bottle. Gusher. Color: Slightly hazy golden, thin white head. Taste: Malty, starting moderate sweet, bit herbal. After a moment notes of citrus and orange and more spicy. Chili pepper coming in at the finish, causing a long lasting warming and pretty dry mouthfeel. Medium body, average carbonation. Unique taste but I don’t think this will ever be one of my favourites.

Ever so slightly hazy peach and copper coloured body with a very thin, half a centimetre tall tan head with not much movement at all. Aroma of honey, grain, coriander seed, curacao, full oranges, light spice notes and a rather large dose of alcohol and astringencies coupled with malts. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive grain, herbal, tea and very noticeable chile flavours with a heavy bread and yeast finish, but not in a way that most belgian tripels would taste - this yeast strain is more assertive, aggressive and bittering without much citrus notes, hardly any fresh and clean elements and definitely no bubble gum flavours. Aftertaste is quite lacking due to the high bitterness, the low sweetness and the astringent flavours, but the complexity is nice given that it's all over the map and still shows some spices and yeast depth. Overall, an interesting beer that works out okay, but not amazing, nor would be worth carting back halfway across the world if purchased in Holland. Luckily, I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Columbus Circle), New York on 11-June-2017 for US$4,99, just up the road, sampled at home in Washington on 29-March-2018.

0.33 l bottle. Shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran, Tanja and Aljoša. Murky golden. Small off-white head. Very spicy, ginger. Dry, some citrus. Yeast. Sharp. Maybe even hot. Light body, moderate carbonation, moderate finish. Interesting.

F: medium, white, good retention. C: gold, hazy. A: malty, dusty, bit peppery, herbal, orange, coriander, yeasty, obviously galangal. T: malty back bone, peppery, chilly, galangal I suppose, bit orange, mellow fruity, nice long lasting prominent spicy chilli-galangal, bit herbal, medium body and carbonation, I like it, 33cl bottle from Albert Heijn Duinenwater supermarket in Knokke.

Hazy, golden colored, medium white frothy head. Aroma is of some malt, bit brewing sugar, spicy Belgian yeast, coriander, bit orange peel. Taste is medium sweet malt, brewing sugar, quite spicy, Belgian yeasty, coriander and orange peel, some lemongrass, bit alcohol, medium bitterness. Medium+ bodied, average carbonation, oily. Spicy and tripely, I like it.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Cloudy golden coloured, medium sized white to off-white head, mild coriander in the nose. Sweetish malty, coriander, caramel, light spicy and notes of alcohol with some dry yeasty finish. So-so.

Mocno przyprawowy na rozne sposoby ten tripelek, dosc pelny, disc slodki, nie przegiety w zadna strone. Calosc niezla ale nie pod gust.
