In our effort to make a tripel a bit more exciting than most examples out there, we decided to spice it like a Thai dish. Lemongrass, Galangal root, coriander, orange peel and chilli pepper blend in with some exotic latehops in this tripel.

Bouteille 33cl de Albert Hein, Ternat. Bottled 12/2/2019, BB 12/2/2021. Dorée, col fin crémeux blanc. Arôme bouquet léger axé sur de fines pointes épicées - coriandre et gingembre bien présents. Rétro sur un léger houblonné noble qui ajoute un côté belge. Palais est épais axé sur les épices qui apportent un bel effet asiatique, touche coriandre marqué, pointe de piment arrive en retrait avec en retour un petit apport de gingembre dont l'effet chaleur reste modéré. Petite épaisseur de bouche venant de la levure - esters belges.

Bottle, 330 ml at Samo Pivo, Belgrade. Hazy orange with large white head. Malty, yeasty, some sweet fruit notes, nice spices combo, coriander, orange. Moderate sweetness. Medium bodied.

On tap at Lajbah, Ljubljana. Pours hazy yellow golden colour, topped with larger white head, creamy, ok retention. Gentle spicy nose with some lemongrass feel over it, very fresh. Fuller body. Gentle spicy start with very intense and sharp leathery herbal taste. Moderate bitterness, quite yeasty and spicy. Aroma is fine but the taste is not really for me.
