Bottled at SBWF. Clear orange/brown, small head. Muscat grapes, honey, vanilla and marzipan in a lovely nose. Sweet with full body and clean mouthfeel. Glue meets marzipan and razorblades. Some caramel. Low bitterness. Fantastic aroma, then it dies.

Bottle at SBWF. Dark brown, small beige head. Prunes, raisins, vanilla in the nose. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Quite sweet. Raisins, plums, hides alcohol well. Quite ok.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is pure sugar, dark fruit, vanilla, wood. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, nice bourbon, very good.

Spring 2013 bottle @ home, via my rot box. Pours a murky reddish brown appearance with a medium sized brown head. The aroma has mild whiskey, caramel, chocolate covered bananas, pears, apples, vanilla, oak, and some booze. Body is a little thin. A little bit of tartness which is a little weird. Mild booze, lots of fruit (pear, berry, apple), caramel, and tiramisu in the flavor. Pretty unique with a lot of fruit but all too thin. Ok.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Big Wood 2014, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is huge on the bourbon barrels, with loads of booze, followed by brown sugar and dark fruits. Flavour is very rich and complex, with bourbon barrels, vanilla, brown sugar, dark fruits, green apple and caramel. Very elegant and balanced - the barrels, though overtaking on the nose - don't dominate too much, but rather accentuate the base beer. Excellent quad.

Draft - Sweet sugars and lots of plum. Deep maroon with a small beige head. Green apple and plum, slight wood and sweet barrel notes. Nice and light for what it is.

From a 75 cl bottle served at Millonzi’as in Fairplay CO. Pours a dark cola brown with a tan head. Caramel and plum nose. Flavors also of candi sugar and red cherries. Somewhat boozy finish.
