Brown with orange highlights and a medium sized tan head. Sweet with strong bourbon, sugar, golden fruit, raisin, bread and toffee. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Can - dark ruby pour - bourbon is well-integrated and not overwhelmingly boozy - a lot of caramelized sugars and dark fruits - a little bit of spiciness and moderate oak - sweet, but not overly so - the yeast character is a bit subdued compared to the base beer - which I assume is their regular quad - which is my main grievance - it’s solid.

Cask pour taster at the brewery. Pours a dark, nearly black, brown color, with a medium, creamy head. The aroma is raisins, vanilla, mild cocoa, almond, and maple. Sweet and sugary, with a good savory spice. Smooth, warming, and a little boozy. Tasty.

10.02.18, damn bourbony chocolate nose, but thin, no carb. Sadness. Maybe it froze by accident, no idea how it died. Bourbon water.

The Aromas are dark malt, fruit, and hints of vanilla and whiskey. Flavors are like news, quite sweet and balanced very nicely with the whiskey and fruit. Decent body and pleasant finish. A bit on the boozy side.

750 ml bottle from Tavour. Deep brown, clear, beige foamy head, fades to patches. Boozy aroma, molasses, prunes, wood. Taste is sweet and strong, dark pit fruit, brown sugar. Finishes with a sharp tang and a lot of heat. Perfect on a chilly fall afternoon.

Bottle date: 12OCT2015. Open date: 12OCT2017. Completely by chance. Bold and deep brick red pour with a tan head. Loaded with dark ripe fruit, berries, brown sugar, vanilla, light oak, bourbon notes, too. Full bodied. Finish is long, warm, sweet dark fruits. Marvelous.

Sample at SBWF 2017. Brown with a small head. Sweet with dried fruit, vanilla, caramel and some malt. The body was full and the finish long.
