Brewing a beer style from the Zenne valley in Emelgem? St-Louis Kriek Lambic proves that it is possible! This cherry beer is made on a lambic base and contains the juice of Oblacinska cherries that have been steeped in gueuze for six months. This specific preparation results in a fresh beer with the sweet taste of cherries. This cherry beer tastes mainly sweet with a hint of sourness from the fruit.

Can shared by MisoW, many thanks! Thin body, med-high carbonation. Lots of sugar, pretty sweet throughout. Very intense artificial cherry. Same strength of equally artificial vanilla, light cinnamon - artificial as well. This whole beer is artificial as fuck, literally not a single thing speaking craft. Other than that, it is easy drinking, but that is about it.

500 ml can, as Vieux Bruxelles Kriek, 4.0% ABV. Bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. \"Lambic\" is not part of the name, actually lambic is not mentioned on the can at all. On the contrary, the can states that this is a top fermented beer, not a spontaneously fermented beer. Beautiful clear deep red colour, moderate off-white head. Distinct aroma of cherries, cherry kernels and almonds. The flavour is sweet and not sour, notes of cherries and almonds again, the mouthfeel is a bit thin.

0,33 bottle.
Nice cherry wine color, pink foam that unfortunately got there soon. Aroma: fantastic, real sour cherry, it also tastes better. Fortunately, I don't taste the sweetener(stevia). Good little basic fruity beer, spontaneously fermented fine :) Refreshing, but not a big number. It's overpriced. The score is so much because it is based on real beer, not a "soft drink". Otherwise it would be a little less.

Szép meggybor szín, rózsaszín hab, ami sajnos hamar oda lett. Illata fantasztikus, igazi meggy, abból is a finomabb.

Cherry, almondy aroma. Sweet n sour taste with cherry, almond and oak. Not too bad for a commercial kriek. The sourness and the almondy taste offset the sweetness. Rating from jan 2012: Vieux Bruxelles kriek. Best until 5/08. Murky brown color. Cherry sweets in the strong aroma. Sugary sweet flavor with cherry sweets, marzipan and some sour notes. Aftertaste has peppermint. Has kept extremely well.
