0,355l can at home. Canned 07/15/15. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells of licorice, spices, earthy, hints of molasses, creamy, light wood, bitter chocolate. very nice smell. medium to full body, rather light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, earthy, some bitter chocolate, spices, lightly acidic, hints of roast, light caramel. looses quite a bit of taste towards the finish. finishes a bit dry and lightly roasted with notes of licorice and some caramel. nice smell, unfortunatly looses quite a bit of flavour towards the finish. finishes is rather neutral and actually a bit boring (-> could be also because carbonation is quite light). this could be related to freshness(?). could have been amazing if the beer held up towards the finish. Overall still quite nice though.

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas. Dark brown to black. Aroma of chocolate, some roast. Sweetish flavor with chocolate, some roast, faint bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied.

12 oz. can. It pours a thick dark brown color with a nice tan head. The aroma is full with chocolate. Tons of chocolate with some tannic roasted malt and hints of smoke along with background notes of caramel and bread. Very robust. The flavor is similar with heavy roasted malt, a bit of tartness and astringency before a pleasant chocolaty, smoky finish. Rich bready, caramel malt backbone. Hop bitterness is low and the body is medium full bordering on thick, especially for the ABV. The heavy roast and mildly tart astringency are a bit off for me, but otherwise this is a very rich and flavorful porter.

Can: Deep ruby-amber coloured, presumably hazy, mid-sized and slowly collapsing loose off-white head, roasted malt, nuts and chocolate in the sweet-bitter nose, traces of leather too; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, soft; lingering and slightly drief njtty, toasty and chocolatey finish. A pleasant Porter…
