Can at MC Zurich. Pours black with a low beige head. Pours dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, green pepper. Body is heavy, sweet but mostly bitter, typical roast flavours, liquorice. Pepper palate. Good.

Very dark brown, small light tan head. Chocolate and roast aroma. Roasted flavour, sweetish with light choc and caramel notes. Light hoppy bitterness.

Can from New Beer Distributors, Manhattan, New York, USA. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin off white head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel. Nice smooth porter.

Sample at SBWF 2016. Almost black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee and some ash. The body was medium as was the bitterness.

Can from The Curfew, berwick-upon-tweed. Pours clear dark brown with a thick beige head. Aromas of toffee, light chocolate, something vaguely herbal. Coffee right at the back. Taste is fruity up front, crunchie bar, light roast. Creamy texture, beautifully balanced.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark olive brown to black. Nice head. Nose - toffee into molasses. Strawberry jam. Taste - more of the same. Luscious. Creamy chocolate and toffee. Toblerone - chocolate and nougat. Palate - medium bodied at least. Creamy texture and a long and balanced finish. Overall - lovely beer.

Can. Dark ruby-brown pour with a tall tan head. Roasted grains, cold brewed coffee, chocolate, licorice and some subtle green hop. Medium bodied and medium carbonation with a roasty bitter aftertaste.

Canned 355ml. -at Pivoteka Zagreb. Almost black coloured, small to medium sized creamy beige head, roasty nose. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa powder, notes of alcohol and mild roasty finish. Simple and really nice.

Dark brown to black colored, medium tan creamy lasting head. Aroma is chocolate, dark choco, bit roasted malt, some cacao. Taste is medium sweet milk and dark chocolate, roasted malt, light cacao, some roasty acidity, medium roasted bitterness, lasting dry finish. Medium- bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. 12 oz can at Spacebar. Snifter. Black with some ruby hues, thin tan head. Aromas of licorice, dark chocolate, light roast. Tastes of licorice, dark chocolate, a little dark fruit, subtle caramel. Medium body with a dry finish.
