The world needs heroes, and in our home state of Florida only a very special hero will do. A hero with a shark tooth around his neck, a Grim Reaper tattoo on his arm, and a rap sheet longer than his mama’s mustache. A hero who’s forgotten more about amateur taxidermy and alligator rasslin’ than you’ll ever know. What better way to pay tribute to our beloved Florida Man than with a big ol’ Double India Pale Ale brewed with a nearly-criminal amount of hops and a moderate bitterness that just about matches Florida Man’s general disposition. This hopped-up whopper of a beer is big in character and guaranteed to sear itself into your memory, just like “the world’s worst superhero,” Florida Man.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 22 July 2020) Hazy amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, citrus and orange peel. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, apricots, orange peel, resin and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty, with lots of fresh hops backed up by a good malt foundation. Very nice.

I knew it'd be good, but not THIS good. Wow. One of the best decently-priced crushers out there! (Not that 8.5% is generally considered crushable, but it hides the ABV so well that you might end up drinking 3 before you realize.)

Can 355ml. Thanks GoT! Murky orange colour, good creamy off-white head. Resiny, a bit orange fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite sweet - sweet fruity and resiny-piney. Ok.

355ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A patchy white head slowly fading over a misty golden body, clingy lacing. Promising smell of grapefruit and grassy hops. Blended hop fruity taste character of apricot, grapefruit, and juicy malts with moments of grapefruit peels towards a rather long tail. Fine depth. Good drinking. (Tromsø 05.08.2020).

Can. It pours an unclear orange colored body under a small, firm off-white head. The aroma has lots of orange zest and pine cones, with some peach and pineapple scents, and a sugary maltyness. It's full-bodied, quite heavily carbonated, lightly warming and rather bitter, with lots of hoppy flavors. Pine cones, orange zest, resin, some pineapple and a nice malty sweetness. Everlasting bitter and fruity finish. A rather rought brew, sort of throwback-ish with a modern twist. Nice. 200803

A golden and cloudy beer, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma is great and fruitful, mandarin, grapefruit, orange, mango, peach. Taste has mango, grapefruit, pineapple, medium bitterness, low fructose. Medium+ bodied. Nice, strong and fruity.
