Very roasty with only a mild hint of the crackery trademark yeast. Some bitterness, some oak. Definitely comes together like you think a porter made by lambic producers would taste. Actually has some sweetness along with sourness. Thick palate and texture. Great. Tap at Chruchkey sour event.

Bottled @ derat, large sample. Dark color, medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts with loads of bretty fruitiness, strawberry, yoghurt, bit horseblanket. Slight sour in taste, but mostly creamy milky brettiness with some chocolate and roast. Wonderful beer.

330 ml stubby bottle, probably from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 7%. Black colour, moderate to low tan head. Interesting aroma of prunes, brettanomyces, chocolate and ripe dark berries. The flavour has a slight fruity acidity and dry roasty notes, notes of prunes, mild coffee and chocolate. Very moderate hops.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a deep brown appearance with a big foamy brown head. Aroma has roast, dark chocolate, a bit of coffee, white fruits / pear, and mineral. Pretty heavy carbonation. A touch metallic. Pretty roasty / burnt malty flavor. Some fruit / apples on the finish. Nothing special and certainly not worth $7.49 which I paid.

Draught pints at Lord Hobo, Winter ’12
Dark, near opaque body has a small white head, with moderate retention.
Hints of roast, some light cobwebs and cellar notes, with just a slight smattering of vanilla and prunes. Even, that’s for sure.
Soft and comforting in the mouth, with plentiful dark chocolate and some lactic notes, but where is the brett? I gotta say, I understand this is supposed to be a wild porter, but come on, if you’re gonna do it, wait til it manifests! As is, just the most basic roasty, plain porter. Certainly well-done but no wild yeast yet. I guess they wanted to release it as the non-wild version. Hopefully they stockpiled some kegs to release it once the brett takes hold.

On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a Pours a cloudy brown with small tan head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is roast and funk. Medium mouthfeel with light dry fruit and raisin sweet dry finish. Very good porter.

Bottle bought some place I can’t remember. Pours murky dark brown with a creamy and frothy dark mocha head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick laing and trace on the glass. Smell is vinous with sweet dark bread, dark grapes, moist wood, port wine, roasted malts, liquorice fudge, dark roast coffee, lemon juice, moist tobacco, leather and barnyard. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, tiny sour, malty, funky and vinous with roasted malts, high quality dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, port wine, moist wood, hay, raisins, barnyard, leather, tobacco, lemon juice and hints of sour milk. Mouthfeel is round, soft, tiny dry, tiny tart and medium bodied. finish is bitter, tiny sour, malty and vinous with sweet dark bread, roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, port wine, moist wood, vanilla beans and barnyard. Interesting, unique and quite tasty.

10/11/2013 330ml bottle shared @ La Tana (thanks Valeriotto!). Nera, densa, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma cappuccino media, bella persistente. Al naso un po’ sporca e disomogenea, sentori di tostato leggeri, muffa, pomodori acidi. In bocca va decisamente meglio, tostato e acido si fondono relativamente bene, nonostante qualche spigolosità, la beva è buona. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Bella birra!
