50cl bottle pours up with a clear copper body and thin gold hues supporting a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up an inviting degree of dank earthy hops that are shallot and somewhat garlic like along with some grapefruit citrus hops around the edges. The taste is similar and I’m digging it. This has a great mix of dankness, shallots, grapefruit and garlic as well as a earthy black tea quality that surfaces about midway. Reading this back those flavor combinations don’t seem like notes that should go together but boy howdy! they do. Yum, solid rich and balanced where the hop bitterness plays well with the various hop flavors.

Bottle - Fruity, resins and malts. Clear copper with a thin white head. Bitter and resinous, with some pine and tropical fruits peaking out. The bitterness is a bit overwhelming but the mouth feel is nice and thick. Not bad, but the bitterness is too much.

500 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with little head. Aromas of grapefruit and tropical fruit with caramel and malt in the background. Flavors are similar with big chewy malts up front leading to a nice light bitter piney finish. Very tasty.

Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours hazy amber with vry little head. Aroma of caramel and citrus. Med body. Flavor is caramel, floral and citrus. Stuff finishes ever more bitter, getting more floral too. A refined mouth deconstructor. Strong but not harsh.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma of intense grapefruit, resinous hops and a big whopping syrupy caramel malt backbone. Flavour is very similar, bringing out heaps of syrupy caramel malts, heaps of grapefruits and truckloads of resinous hops - the hops are almost outdone by the malt. This is a full-bodied IIPA with the grapefruit playing a prominent role. Very "hearty" and well-designed. Usually these big malty IIPAs are not my thing, but this one works beautifully. Excellent stuff.

The 50th rating of this bad boy. Bottle. Cloudy variegated golden brown color, small white head, solid lacing. Aroma of intense pine and citrus. Taste is bitter pine resin with decent enough balance, dry and bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel. Intense.
